# Endurance: Walks, Runs, Rides, and Hikes

> Record indoor or outdoor endurance sessions, follow GPS routes, and save hiking trails.

Open **Training** and select **Endurance** on the mode control. Strength presets and Endurance sessions live under the same Training tab.

Choose **Hike**, **Walk**, **Run**, or **Ride**, then choose an indoor or outdoor session. For an outdoor session, allow location access if you want a GPS route. Hold the start control to begin. The active screen records your session and, when available, the route and heart rate. Finish to save it to your activity history.

<Note>
  GPS tracking and health data depend on your device, permissions, and connected health source. An indoor session does not need location access.
</Note>

## Review a session

Open an activity from Endurance history to review its distance, duration, pace, route, and available heart rate information. Endurance has separate goals you can adjust from its goal controls.

## Hiking trails

You can save an outdoor route as a private hiking trail. Open **Your hiking trails** to view saved routes, start a hike from one, or enable a share link. A shared link lets someone view the route. Check local access and conditions before following a trail.

See [Training](/features/training) for strength sessions and weekly routines.
