The Journal tab is your daily check-in. Choose a day from the calendar or the week strip to see what you recorded. The top of the page shows how many of your personal trackers have a reading for that day.

Record how the day felt

In How did it feel?, choose a mood from Rough through Great. Tap the note to write or edit a reflection. You can return to an earlier day and update its mood or note.

Add personal trackers

Tap Log a tracker to start with an existing tracker. If you have none, choose your first trackers from the template library. Templates cover things such as energy, sleep quality, steps, walking, and stress. You can search the templates or create a tracker from scratch. A tracker has a name, a Body, Nutrition, or Training category, and one of three input types: You can also set a unit, step size, and optional target. Open a tracker to enter or change a reading for the selected day. Its card shows the last seven days. Open View history for older readings and edits. You can edit or remove a tracker from its controls.
Journal trackers use the same saved custom metrics as the Health pages. Existing metrics and their history remain available after the Journal navigation change. Metrics linked to Apple Health or Health Connect can still receive synced values when you have enabled that connection.

Quick log the rest of your day

The Quick log cards open food, water, training, and supplement logging. The food, water, and training cards show what is already recorded for the selected day. Use them when a reflection reminds you of something you forgot to log.
Older journal fields, including caffeine and alcohol, appear under Earlier journal entries when you have saved data in them.
For trends across weeks and months, use Progress. For sensor data and health scores, use Health.
